As many of you know we have released a challenging group of activities and hope you and your team take advantage of the opportunity.   There are plenty of items to remind all shooters of skills that can improve their skills at home without firing a shot.

Another activity you might take advantage of is the many trap shooting videos provided on YouTube.  Watch a few and see what you might learn.

One other idea is now might be the time to get a journal underway.  Start by writing down your goals you have for this years shooting.  Be detailed and set realistic goals.  Here are a few guidelines:

  • Are your goals measurable?  Can you count changes?  Obviously hitting 25 straight or more is a goal that is measurable, but what other goals can you think of?
  • Set goals that motivate you.  Are these goals something you want to work towards?
  • Be SMART
  • Specific.
  • Measurable.
  • Attainable.
  • Relevant.
  • Time Bound
  • Put your goals in writing
  • Make an action plan that describes how you will attain these goals
  • Stick with your goals!

Keep your journal close and writ down your thoughts daily.

I know this Covid 19 crisis will create memories that will never be forgotten.  In our most difficult times though we will rise to meet and defeat challenges.  This is what we are all doing now.  Hang in there and be positive.

On that note here are a few positive quotes you might share:

Always remember you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and twice as beautiful as you’ve ever imagined.

Dr. Seuss

Look up at the stars and not down at your feet. Try to make sense of what you see, and wonder about what makes the universe exist. Be curious.

Stephen Hawking

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

Helen Keller

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.

Wayne Gretzky

Take care all.
