The Missouri Youth Sport Shooting Alliance

Teamwork, Discipline and Leadership

The Missouri Youth Sport Shooting Alliance (MYSSA) is a statewide, not-for-profit organization of Missouri clubs and organizations representing all youth shooting sports. We promote target shooting opportunities, safety, sportsmanship and the ongoing development of Missouri’s youth athletes through youth sport shooting, training, and events. Our objective is to provide opportunities and resources for youth shooters, sport shooting instructors, coaches and parents. We assist in the continued advancement of youth shooting sports.

Inclusive, Reactive and Fun

Due in-part to their inclusive nature, shooting sports are among the fastest growing athletic activities for young people in Missouri. Whether competing in trap, skeet, sporting clays, handgun, rifle, or archery events, athletes of all ages — male, female, and those with physical disabilities — have the opportunity to participate and excel in these precision sports. Today, Missouri holds two major MYSSA sponsored high school shoots annually and 17 other range shooting competitions for youth shooters of all ages, attracting hundreds of competitors from across the state. MYSSA provides organized communication and coordination between the rapidly growing numbers of affiliated youth shooting organizations, bringing together all youth shooting programs while representing almost 200 schools and clubs and thousands of student athletes.
