MYSSA Board of Directors

I thought I would provide you with some news about our new format for the Fall Classic October 17, 2020.  We are excited to change things up a bit with the 2020 Fall Classic being a combination of 50 rounds of Sporting Clays and 50 rounds of Skeet.  Over the years we have heard from shooters the desire to try new competitions and we feel this Fall Classic will be a great opportunity to grow or try a new competition format. The event will be held at Prairie Grove Shotgun Sports.

Teams will be three youth shooters and more than one team may compete in one of the following categories:

Collegiate: Shooters must be currently enrolled in a trade school, junior college or college/university

High School Open:  Squad of 3 currently in high school grades 9 through 12. Those having graduated in May 2020 may shoot within their former squads.

Clubs:  Participants through 12th grade representing Gun Clubs, 4-H, American Legion, Boy Scout, church or similar organizations.  Notice: A team may participate in either High School Open or Clubs, not both.

FFA:  Squad of 3 from same high school, grades 9 through 12.

Junior High Open:  Students currently in 8th grade and below.

Ladies:  Any all-female squad, high school or below.

Collegiate Ladies:  Any all-female squad currently enrolled in a Trade School, Junior College, or College/University

Trophies will be awarded to the top three place individuals, divisions and high overall.  Registration will open in late August so keep checking into the MYSSA website.  Hope you will form a team and give this competition a try.  Don’t worry if you have not shot either of these formats, range masters will be present to help you.
